“When I called optum to schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist regarding my vision impairment I was told that I could not see a MD. Instead, I was referred to an OD who at first told me I had fluid behind the eye. Then, after completing a scan, he told me I did not have fluid and that he had no idea what was wrong with me. He then referred me to a retina specialist and sleep medicine. Thankfully, I was able to see a MD outside of Optum who gave me the correct diagnosis and transferred me urgently to a cornea specialist who saved my vision. Had I been able to see a MD at Optum in the first place, I would have likely been saved from the overwhelming distress due to my visual impairment. It is scary to think what would have happened if I had not received the appropriate treatment outside of Optum.”

didn't respect my concerns regarding medicines, recorded the wrong information in patient portal, jumped to put me on a very strong medication. he was relatively friendly though and probably alright for certain kinds of patients.

he did not understand anything i said. he was confused and disoriented. i've never had a less attentive doctor. i don't understand how he made it this far if he can't remember what the patient just said multiple times
