there was a bit of a wait before I was brought in for my 1st testing, as well as waiting in the examination room to see the doctor, but this is common at almost every doctor I see, so you can't ding them too much for it. otherwise I had a great experience with everyone there. smart and friendly!”

About Dr. Joseph Grizzanti
Joseph Grizzanti, DO, FCCP is a board-certified pulmonologist with additional board certifications in allergy and clinical immunology as well as internal medicine.
Dr. Grizzanti completed his undergraduate education at St. John’s University in New York, NY, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He continued his studies at St. John’s with pre-medical courses and then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Grizzanti completed an internship followed by a residency at the New Jersey College of Medicine in Newark, NJ during which time he was appointed Chief Resident. He completed two fellowships at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. His first fellowship was in pulmonary medicine and the second was in Allergy and Immunology.
Currently, Dr. Grizzanti holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Allergy-Immunology Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
His practice is known as the Center for Asthma and Immune Lung Diseases and is a World Association for Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (WASOG) Center for Excellence. Dr. Grizzanti is also a professional society member of the Foundation for Sarcoidosis, the New York Academy of Science, the American Thoracic Society, the New Jersey Thoracic Society, and is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Grizzanti has been participating in a monthly lecture series at Jacobi Medical Center since 2000, where he educates the house staff on pulmonary services. Some topics he has spoken on include hypersensitivity pneumonitis, ANCA associated vasculitis, Wagner’s Granulomatosis, Eosinophilic Lung Disease, pulmonary complications in antibody deficiency, and more!
Dr. Grizzanti also participates in weekly Allergy-Immunology conferences at AECOM.
He is interested in Immunological Mechanisms of Respiratory Disease and participates in research of this topic.
Dr. Grizzanti has been published in many peer reviewed journals. He is licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York.
Before joining Sovereign Medical Group, Dr. Grizzanti was the Director for the Center for Asthma and Immune Lung Diseases at Valley Medical Group in Hawthorne, NJ. He has been practicing medicine in New Jersey for over 30 years.

New to Jersey. I was so grateful I chose this location and doctor. Amazing!!!! Doctor and Staff very concerned about my health. Gave me several test and blood work. Didn’t just put me on medication and send me away. Requesting further answers to my illnesses. Very satisfied with my visit and this will be my Pulmonologist.
