About Dr. Joyce Wong
Joyce L. Wong, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1993 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology cum laude from the same university.
Dr. Wong's interest in the eyes started at an early age when she began wearing glasses at the age of eight, and she became curious about why she couldn't see very well. It was her mother who suggested that she consider a career in optometry. Dr. Wong received a four-year scholarship to the University of Houston, where she joined the Pre-Optometry Professional Society as an undergraduate. After four years of volunteer work at the university rotating through various clinics, Dr. Wong's interest in optometry was strengthened along with her strong desire to help people see more clearly.
When Dr. Wong is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, family, and friends. She likes trying out new restaurants and lists cooking, reading, crocheting, and doing cross-stitch among her hobbies.

Doc was polite and very informative. Techs were very nice and helpful as I hadn’t ever used any of the new eye equipment. Clean and professional. Helped me find new frames for my new prescription and went over options covered by my insurance. Lovely staff, short wait time, great doc. Showed interest and care into my worries and also I doubt I would’ve got frames if they hadn’t helped me find the right ones. Honestly best eye doc experience yet.
