Dr. Kelsey Deitz Guth graduated summa cum laude with her biology degree from Virginia Tech and graduated with honors while earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is also devoted to helping kids with progressing myopia and has been named as one of two Change Agents in Virginia, working to elevate the standard of care in children with myopia. Dr. Guth is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVRDA). She is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Virginia Optometric Association (VOA), and Tidewater Optometric Society (TOS). In 2025, she was honored to receive the Distinguished Achievement Award given by the VOA for her contributions to the field. Originally from Manassas, Virginia, Dr. Guth has resided in Williamsburg since 2016 with her husband Matt and dog Mabel, and now with their son Emerson and daughter Henley. In her free time, she cherishes the time she is able to spend with her family. She also enjoys traveling, reading, group fitness classes, and all things Harry Potter and Virginia Tech.
