“The people at the front desk were very nice, but there was this one young lady(forgot her name, she was Hispanic with light brown curly hair, very pretty) went out her way to help me. My appointment was canceled for some unknown reason and she went up and beyond to find out why was it cancelled. Long story short, she got me seen by the doctor and it was at the time she stated it would be. She seem like she was the one that was keeping that front desk together. They need to really give her a promotion because she is a very stop doing that to him come here valuable person. It’s hard to find good employees in these times. I’m not sure if she’s the doctor‘s personal assistant at the desk, but he should never let her go.

About Dr. Kevin Cipriano
Dr. Cipriano is a specialist in Sports Medicine as well as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He completed his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Medstar-Georgetown National Rehabilitation Hospital Program where he served as Chief Resident. He then went on to sub-specialize in Sports Medicine at Emory University as a team physician for local high schools, the Division I Georgia Tech and Division III Emory University athletic programs, as well as the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Dream. He attended the 2023 NFL Combine as a representative Team Physician for the Atlanta Falcons.
Dr. Cipriano is Board Certified in Physiatry and Sports Medicine. His clinical focus includes athletes and active people of all levels with acute musculoskeletal injuries, as well as chronic degenerative processes of the musculoskeletal system such as osteoarthritis. He focuses on conservative treatment and finding root causes of injuries. These include minimally invasive, non-surgical evaluations and procedures such as biomechanical evaluations and bracing, specific activity/sport related rehabilitation plans, Same-day Diagnostic Ultrasound Evaluations and Ultrasound Guided injections of all Peripheral Joints, Nerve Hydro-dissections, Needle Tenotomy and Barbotage, Platelet Rich Plasma Injections, and Shockwave Therapy (ESWT).
Dr. Cipriano has served on national committees in his field and has given multiple presentations at national conferences. He has published multiple research projects while working at the National Institute of Health (NIH) during residency and continued these projects while training at Emory including point of care evaluation of MSK injuries and return to activity treatments. Dr. Cipriano is a native New Yorker and is excited to return home and serve his community.

Eh! He and his physician assistant, whom I spent the most amount of time with, seem nice but I was quite underwhelmed by the overall appointment. Zero orders for any imaging which makes no sense to start “treating” without any slight confirmation of the issue. My shoulder has been in pain since December (now February) so you would think basic imaging would be ordered. They never asked about my medical history, didn’t seem to understand or know much about connective tissue disorders or dysautonomia. Left with the same non-sense referral to PT for 2-3 months + exercises to do at home. Never asked if I had the time or the money for PT or listen to how PT has not worked in the past for my upper back issues which he assumes is causing the shoulder issues. No temporary remedy for the current pain/discomfort. No advice on what not to do to worsen it.

Couldn't recommend this office more! I showed up about 20 minutes early to fill out first visit paperwork and wasn't sitting there more than five minutes before I was called in. I ended up finishing the paperwork in between breaks whenever someone left the room. I was seen briefly by one doctor to go through the usual questions regarding my visit before seeing Dr. Cipriano. He examined my wrist, explained his theories, and provided solutions for the pain. He then asked if I had any questions and when I brought up my own theories for what was causing the pain, he examined me further, and it turns out my suspicions were right! I really appreciated that he took the time to listen to me and do a second examination because it altered his plan for treatment. I felt very heard and well taken care of. From the moment I stepped foot in the office to when I was out the door was less than an hour. Everyone was kind and efficient!
