About Dr. Kimberly Forniss
Kimberly Forniss, O.D., earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Forniss specializes in fitting complex contact lenses. From a young age, she recognized the importance of the eyes and knew by age 12 that she wanted to pursue a career related to eye care. She takes great satisfaction in helping patients improve their vision, enhancing their productivity in both work and daily life. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Forniss enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and going to comedy shows.

I was impressed with how thorough the doctor was and her bedside manner. She did a great job considering my eyesight, family history, and considering in the short and long term solutions. This gave me a lot of reassurance as it’s been over 10 years since I had my eyes examed. I will come back here again simply for her and the front office staff.

When I got to the office, the front desk was super helpful and friendly. Though I did have to wait almost an hour and a half until I was seen after I was in the exam room, which made me late to work and I was not able to choose my glasses that day because I was rushing to leave.

My 87-year-old mother has dementia, and the staff was notified when she was brought into the office. My cousin brought her to the appointment and explain that to the staff. After she was examined a staff, member brought her back to my cousin and handed her a slip stating that she would be coming back on consecutive dates to get cataract surgery. There was absolutely no consultation from the doctor. The appointments were set up without asking if those dates would work with my cousin.

Dr. Forniss was extremely kind and very informative. She took the extra time to explain all of my results to me. Darryl was also amazing! He was so helpful picking out my first pair of glasses. Amazing staff!
