About Dr. Kush Patel
Kush Patel, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University in 2023. He earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in 2018.
Dr. Patel's journey into optometry began during his undergraduate years when he struggled with his vision despite wearing glasses and contacts. He was diagnosed with keratoconus, a corneal condition, and underwent a corrective followed by a specialized contact lens fitting. Experiencing firsthand the life-changing impact of visual correction, Dr. Patel developed a deep appreciation for the importance of sight and was inspired to help others to improve their eyecare health and quality of life.
Dr. Patel enjoys building meaningful relationships with his patients and colleagues, valuing both the personal and clinical aspects of patient care. With a special interest in cataract surgery co-management, dry eye treatment, myopia (dry eyes) management, and ocular disease care, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye health solutions.
Originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Patel now lives in Streamwood. Beyond his work, he appreciates the balance optometry provides, allowing him to connect with patients while maintaining a fulfilling lifestyle.
