“She is a very kind and good doctor!
The hospital facilities are very clean and the staff are all friendly.
However, the waiting time on the first scheduled visit is too long. It took about two hours to see the doctor and another hour for a 15-minute allergy test.
Although I actually talked to the doctor for less than ten minutes, I had to spend three hours at the hospital. There was nothing that necessary need to take that much long but it’s all just the time to sit and wait. I hope it gets better on my next visit.”

About Dr. Laurel Rene Anderson-Cowell

Dr. Anderson-Cowell received her BA in Biology and Chemistry from Hofstra University in New York. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. There, she completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine. During medical school, she developed a strong interest in understanding the immune system and how HIV attacks a very specific part of it. At that time, she was involved in basic science research, trying to discover a cure for HIV.
Dr. Anderson-Cowell attended Yale University School of Medicine, where she completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She was an Associate Research Scientist in the Division of Immunobiology at Yale. She and her husband moved to Portland, Oregon, where they now have two wonderful children. She has practiced with AADA since 1998 and continues to enjoy caring for patients with allergic and immunologic diseases. In her free time, she enjoys attending her children's sports activities, oil painting, writing, and going for long walks with her dog, Lola.
