Immediately after undergrad, she attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Shortly after graduation, she packed up and headed west to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she worked at the Raymond G. Murphy Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center to earn her residency in ocular disease. She has been a medical optometrist for 15 years, focusing on pre and post operative care, glaucoma and retinal care.
