I ended up declining service and not seeing the doctor because apparently I had set up the Zocdoc appointment with self-pay rather than with my insurance VSP. The provider attempted to contact me but I did not pick up their call. The voice message I was left asked me to call back, but I think it would’ve been beneficial if they would’ve have let me know about the insurance issue in the voice mail so I knew to call back to address the concerns there. I went to my appointment at 10:45 early having looked up the location on Apple Maps which told me they were open at 10am. I got there around 10:10 to a gated shop. Employees arrived around 10:25 and the employee opened the gate at around 10:33. I entered the store to check in for my appointment to find out that VSP was out-of-network. I chose to decline service while the employee attempted to offer a package for me. I let them know that their door said that they are open at 10am, but they told me 10:30. Overall, unhappy for my treatment.
