I scheduled this appt for neurologic evaluation and treatment of active symptoms. I was not seeking a legal evaluation or any other involvement. Despite explaining that, I was told the practice would not see me at all because I have pending litigation (a health issue from toxic exposure) and that's their policy. I find that policy unreasonable and concerning. Plenty of doctors will see a patient and then decline legal participation - and no one was asking for legal contribution here.
Refusing care solely because a patient has a legal matter puts administrative concerns ahead of the patient’s medical needs. I drove over an hour, took off work, and completed extensive paperwork, only to be turned away without an evaluation... all while still having my active health issues! I cannot explain how disappointed and annoyed I am. It's ALWAYS something with these specialists as if it's not difficult enough to even get an appointment in timely matter you gotta worry about things like this too.

Dr. Pearlstein was amazing! He is very funny, caring, and treats his patients like his own children. I had my first appointment with him and I am so grateful for his availability and top-shelf patient care. He was quite busy and never flagged in his acuity or bedside manner.

The office is a little old fashion and rundown with stained and one dysfunctional chair. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They contact you several times to make sure you remember your appointment. They also called me to offer me an earlier slot when someone cancelled. Be aware that Dr Pearlstein himself is very unsteady in his movements and uses a walker. This can make the physical part of the exam a little challenging. He is assisted by his long-term nurse. They are quite the duo. She does his charting, asks the preliminary questions and watches over him. Then Dr. Pearlstein follows up. We are in the middle of getting to a diagnosis; so cannot yet comment on his diagnostic skills. Happily, I was able to get my EEG done at their office the following week. We'll see
