About Dr. Michael Solomon

Michael S. Solomon, D.O. is a Board Certified, Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and Refractive Eye Surgeon, excited to finally be home in Denver. He performs cataract, LASIK, pterygium, and glaucoma surgery. He has a passion for cataract procedures which may be able to reduce dependency on glasses after surgery. He medically treats glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disorders. As a Denver Native, and “Rose Baby”, Dr. Solomon established deep roots in the Denver community. Growing up in both Denver and Aurora, Dr. Solomon graduated from Smoky Hill High School in the Cherry Creek School District. He was active in High School, and even served as the Senior Class President (Class of ’81). Dr. Solomon graduated from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, with a degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri (Class of ’89). Dr. Solomon completed his internship and residency in ophthalmology at Beaumont Hospital (Botsford General Hospital – Detroit Consortium)/Michigan State University (’89 – ’93). His Refractive Surgery Fellowship was completed under the guidance of Michigan State University in 1994, right here in Colorado. Dr. Solomon enjoys his free time with friends and family, alpine skiing at “the Beav”, fly fishing on the Eagle, and relishing in the outdoor recreation that abounds in our wonderful Rocky Mountain region. Elway, Dr. Solomon’s Labrador Retriever, cherishes quality time with his human anytime, anywhere!
