I was previously a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Stanford University where I was the Director of Clinical Research for the Stanford division of Headache Medicine and served as principal investigator for numerous clinical trials. I was awarded the 2013 Clinical Research Fellowship in Neurotoxins by the American Academy of Neurology and under this scholarship investigated a diagnostic screening protocol for chronic migraine. I am currently a member of the American Headache Society (AHS), the co-chair of the AHS Electronic Media Committee and was chosen as an AHS Emerging Leader in the field in 2017. I am also a member of the International Headache Society and serves as the Executive Vice-President of the World Headache Society. I completed my medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo Ohio. Both my internship and neurology residency were completed at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center, where I was chief resident. I completed my fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at Stanford University School of Medicine. I worked as a headache specialist in the Department of Neurology at Stanford for 9 years.
