Dr. Cutarelli earned his degree in medicine at Case Western Reserve University and completed his ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a one-year fellowship specifically in refractive surgery at Hunkeler Eye Center in Kansas City, Missouri followed by an additional fellowship in anterior segment surgery and ocular disease at Morrfield’s Eye Hospital in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Cutarelli is a board certified eye surgeon and member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. This review is not for Dr. Cutarelli, as I was not able to see him because there was an issue with my insurance. This is more for the person who was at the front desk when I first walked in. In the U.S. there is a common micro aggression that certain people with certain ideologies give towards people of color, where they pretend like you don't exist, won't say hello, or even look at you in the eye while communicating. Making you feel unwelcome. I have dealt with this multiple times before in my life, and the older woman with dark hair at the front desk does have an issue with African Americans. She was very kind to the gentlemen who came in right after me (White Male), but treated me the opposite way. Luckily there was a lovely lady with blonde hair who was very welcoming and treated me like a human being. The older woman with dark hair basically made me feel like I didn't belong. I'm sure Dr. Cutarelli is amazing, but I would not recommend African Americans get treatment here.

It was a great experience. Once the new patient paperwork was done, it was a minute or two before I was brought back for the evaluation. It was a very thorough evaluation and was seen almost immediately by the surgeon. I would recommend this practice to everyone, and will.

The office and staff were very nice, friendly and courteous. The appointment took almost 2 hours which seemed very long to me. Pricing for procedure was extremely high compared to other Dr's and I did not choose this practice for procedure based on that.

I like the general atmosphere and the doctor/assistant that saw me. However, I had no idea I was going to be there for almost 3 hours! So much waiting. I don't know if that's average for a free consult, but I wasn't told how long to expect.

The whole visit took 2.5 hrs. Was not expecting that at all. It was just a lasik consultation. Other than that they can fix my vision and have the option of a lifetime guarantee.

Overall, not a bad visit. Just a couple of small things that added up:
1. It was a LONG appointment. I'm okay with that if I had been given even a vague hint to the length of the appointment (we're talking 3+ hours) - especially with an infant and a toddler who were waiting for me to be done.
2. I have had glasses for about 35 years, so my eyes are very used to the eye exams, dilating of the pupils, extremely bright lights, etc. However, for the first time in 35 years, after this appointment was over, my eyes were in extreme pain. It felt like small needles across the entire surface of my eyes every time I blinked or moved my eyes in any direction. The only thing that helped was keeping my eyes closed. The pain didn't go away until 2 mornings later. I'm more baffled, than concerned at this point. Never had my eyes react like that to any sort of exam before.
Other than that, the staff were friendly and professional.

Great exam, etc. but waited over 45 minutes to talk to the expert in regards to pricing, financing and payment. Finally I had to leave to go back to work. Asked them to have her call me, she called me that night during dinner - asked her to call me back this morning.

This was my first visit to Dr. Cutarelli. All of the staff was very professional and friendly. I did not have to wait very long. Both the techs and Dr Anderson we very helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns about the procedures relating to both Lasik and cataracts.

This was my first initial consult for Lasik. This incredibly busy vision center was professional, kind and very informative. I couldn't have been happier to have been seen by two doctors and 2 assistants plus the financial services department for financing. I was so impressed by their customer service that I made my surgery appointment without going any where else. I had originally planned on getting two other opinions. I no longer feel the need to do so. Thank you Dr Cutarelli for putting me at ease. i'm excited to see the results and the life time guarantee is fantastic.

The doctors and staff were wonderful, extremely nice and helpful. However, be prepared to spend quite awhile waiting. They are a very busy office. My appointment was at 10am, I arrived five to ten minutes early, but wasn't called into the first exam room until about 11am. I was in that room appx ten minutes and then sent back out to wait for the next part of the consult. In all, I was there almost three hours! And it would have been longer except I asked if things could be sped up because my daughter had a dr's appt elsewhere that we had to leave to get to on time.
