I've struggled with anxiety/depression for nearly a decade and made an appointment with Dr. O'Donnell via ZocDoc after learning my usual doctor was currently away on vacation for two weeks. On top of my normal, day-to-day anxiety as of late,I was anxious to see a new doctor about my mental health... and was equally worried that I would be lectured for having gone off my medicine in the first place. From the moment Dr. O'Donnell walked in, though, my nerves dissipated. He sat down with me and got to know me -- asked about my job, where I went to college, about my recent wedding, etc.; he made me feel as though I wasn't just another name to cross off the list. I was honest about what going on (I actually started to tear up; he was very kind. Seriously, Dr. O'Donnell has impeccable bedside manner) and he took the time to sit with me and discuss both how chemical imbalances work AND how outside stress can make said imbalances feel even more off kilter than usual at times. I was prescribed a day-to-day SSRI and was also given something for panic attacks. I left his office feeling more at ease than I've felt in weeks. I typically do not take the time to leave reviews, but this practice is incredible. If you are looking for a primary care physician, go to Dr. O'Donnell.
