About Dr. Poneh Alavi
Poneh Alavi, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in the top five percent of her class.
Dr. Alavi brings extensive experience to her role as an optometrist. She has provided comprehensive eye care across various settings, including private practices, community clinics, and corporate offices. Her expertise includes routine eye exams, contact lens fittings (including scleral and RGP lenses), managing dry eye, treating ocular emergencies, and co-managing care with ophthalmologists.
With a passion for serving diverse communities, Dr. Alavi has worked in multiple states, including California, Arizona, and South Carolina, where she currently practices. She is committed to ensuring exceptional patient care and personalized care.
