Dr. Pritish Pawar, M.D., Ph.D. is Board Certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. He attended B.J. Medical College in India. He did his neurology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee Wisconsin followed by clinical neurophysiology fellowship the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee. He earned his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Alabama. Dr. Pawar has published several peer reviewed articles, a book chapter and case reports in prestigious journals and won several awards presenting his work at international conferences. His goal is to provide competent patient care with the best standards of treatment, patient education and effective communication with the patients, their families and other providers. Dr. Pawar is well known for his patient and family education programs throughout the valley.

I recently had an intake appointment with the neurologist and wanted to share some feedback about my experience. The doctor was professional overall, but I left feeling somewhat misunderstood.
While I was able to clearly label and describe my symptoms, I struggled to provide concrete examples in the moment and not because I don’t experience them, but because the same issues I was seeking help for (processing delays, brain fog, and cognitive fatigue) made it difficult to recall and articulate specific examples quickly. I sensed that my hesitation or pauses were interpreted as uncertainty, which was frustrating since those moments actually reflect the very challenges I came in to discuss.
I would have appreciated a bit more patience or recognition of that difficulty, as it might have helped me feel more supported and taken seriously.

I am so very impressed with Dr Pawar and his staff! He is a fantastic listener and got to the root of my problem (I was in unrelenting burning head pain for 6 weeks without relief or help from anyone else!) He quickly surveyed the situation, summarized it up, gave me a Nerve Block to stop pain, prescribed medication, set up testing, and additional follow up appointment. He is the most professional, empathetic, and kind doctor I could ever pray for, I truly appreciate him and highly recommend him and his wonderful staff! (They were also very kind, supportive, and professional!) I trust him implicitly!!!

Great doctor who genuinely cares about his patients. So happy to have found a Dr I can trust. I’m a nurse, and I’m a very difficult patient. This dr even thought of things no one else has. He didn’t make me feel like I had to come up with my own care plan or self diagnose. I have not had this experience with a doctor in twenty years!!! This was such a positive experience.
