About Dr. R Scott Penny
Dr. Scott Penny earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating Cum Laude. During his senior year, he received the Bausch and Lomb Outstanding Achievement Award for his dedication and excellence in the pursuit and application of knowledge in the contact lens field. Prior to that, Dr. Penny graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Wright State University. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association for more than forty years.

I had a wonderful experience at my appointment with Dr. Penny and the optician who helped me select my new glasses. Dr. Penny was very thorough in his exam and consultation regarding cataract surgery. Susie Beck, my optician was very pleasant, patient and helpful with my selection of new frames. Dear Susie even walked me out to my car holding my defective umbrella in pouring down rain! This gesture was above and beyond her duties and my expectations! Many thanks to Susie and the Shawnee Optical staff in Springfield, Ohio!!!
