About Dr. Rachel Shackelford
Rachel Shackelford, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an Emphasis in Health Science from the University of Nebraska - Kearney in 2019.
Dr. Shackelford is currently a resident at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, specializing in primary care and ocular disease. She was recognized as the 2024 Heart of America Eye Care Congress Top 5 Poster Winner and is a member of the Gold Key Society and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

The optometrist was very thorough to find out why I was having blurry vision. She could have stopped at one look but she kept looking at my eyes in different ways to determine the cause. Made me feel relaxed.
