My journey into medicine began when my grandmother was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. Seeing what she went through inspired me to volunteer in an ER, and that led me to pursue a career in medicine so that I could provide compassionate care when people need it most. Family medicine allows me to care for patients at every stage of life and build lasting relationships with them and, in some cases, with entire families. I enjoy the variety this specialty offers and feel honored to support each patient's unique health journey - from childhood through adulthood and into their senior years. I'm a big believer in prevention and am passionate about helping patients stay healthy and feel their best. I am honored to be a source of information and support to patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal concerns. No matter where a patient is in their health journey, I take time to understand the full picture and then work with them to create a personalized plan that feels achievable. I want my patients to feel heard, respected and confident in their care. So, I strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns and taking an active role in their health. Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our children. We love going on walks, bike rides, hikes and exploring new places together. I also enjoy dancing; exercising, gardening; and sewing. All those activities help me unwind and feel connected to what I love.
