Dr. Gupta is a Chicago native where he earned his BS in Engineering and then an MD from the University of Illinois. He served his Neurology residency in Portland, Oregon and then completed a Fellowship in Pain Management at Johns Hopkins University, later becoming an instructor there. He came to Austin in 1996 and opened his Westlake office in 1998, specializing in headache and pain management. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and Texas Pain Society.
