He is the holder or co-holder of more than 15 patents, many of which are used day-to-day in his clinical-diagnostic practice as well as in surgery – including those related to cataracts and LASIK. Dr. Koplin and his wife (his college sweetheart) have a deep appreciation and love of family- time which includes hefty allotments of attention to their recently married daughter (actress) and son (attorney) – along with their two extraordinary grandchildren. Dr. Koplin’s wife participates regularly in the support program at Ronald McDonald House (where she has been cited for her 15 years of dedication). She also sits on the board of Foster Pride, a New York City Foundation assisting foster children in need.
