He attended undergraduate school at Wayne State University, and medical school at Universidad del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico, followed by New York Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI, and his fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport and Tulane Hospital in New Orleans.
