My allergy and immunology training involved thorough experiences in pediatric and adult encounters across multiple hospital systems in Houston, TX, including the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Ben Taub Hospital, and Texas Children''s Hospital. My training provided me extensive experience in pediatric and adult immunology conditions as well as allergic conditions, including but not limited to eczema, food allergy, drug allergy, rhinitis, sinusitis, urticaria, and angioedema Allergy and immune-related diseases can have significant impacts on quality of life; however, we fortunately have the tools to modify how much these conditions can negatively impact patients. My philosophy is that the disease burdens should be minimized as much as possible by using as little as possible. In short, when it comes to modern medicine, less is more, and a focused, thoughtful approach to a patient is much more valuable than indiscriminate and often unnecessary testing.
