The people were friendly. Space was very tight, could barely fit 2 people. Also immediately after tried to get me to buy glasses for $500.

I had a very frustrating experience with this office regarding insurance and billing. I booked my appointment through Zocdoc because the office indicated that they accepted 1199SEIU insurance. I was told at the office that my insurance would be billed first and I would then be responsible for any remaining amount.
After my appointment, I requested an itemized receipt to verify the billing and submit it to my insurance. I have emailed the office twice requesting a receipt with the provider’s full name and NPI, but have received no response.
There is also a discrepancy with the provider information. My prescription lists Dr. Marwan Kassim, O.D., whose NPI listing identifies the provider as male. However, I was seen by a female provider who did not provide her name. I therefore cannot confirm who performed my exam or under whose NPI the services were billed.
I am simply asking for basic documentation and clarification, but the lack of communication has made this unnecessarily difficult

Very small office with outdated equipment. Kind doctor doing the best with what she has.
Ok selection of eyeglasses but nothing that caught my eye.
Wouldn’t offer me a piece of paper with my prescription after asking so I just went ahead and just took a picture of it when it was on the table. Good thing too since they told me they would email me my prescription and i’ve yet to receive it.

A very strange experience. I want to check my eyes and get a new pair of glasses. However, Dr. Sana Tahir could not set up combinations that reach the clarity I have with my current eyeglasses. Not sure whether this is because the instrument is outdated and not precise enough.
