About Dr. Sanober Tamboli

Dr. Tamboli emphasizes patient and family education as the cornerstone of a successful treatment program. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She joined Allergy & ENT Associates in 1998.
Her medical degree was earned in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by internships in internal medicine and surgery. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In 1995, she completed her fellowship in allergy/ immunology at the internationally recognized National Jewish Medical and Research Center, formerly the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, in Denver, Colorado, the only medical and research center in the United States entirely devoted to respiratory, allergic, and immune system diseases.
Prior to joining Allergy & Asthma Associates, Dr. Tamboli practiced allergy and clinical immunology in a multispecialty group in the Houston area. Her goal in working with allergy and asthma patients and their families is to devise individual treatment plans that improve their quality of life.

I waited in her appt check-up room for 45 min plus and no Doctor or assistant to tell me Why" No doctor?? So I just left. Im itchy and need medication OTC now.. THEY OVERBOOK THEM SELVES HERE. SO BE PREPARE TO WAIT??? VERY DISAPPOINTED.. I NEEDED TO SEE A DOCTOR!

Horrible experience. Arrived early as it was our first visit. Filled out tons of paperwork only to later be asked all the same questions at the consultation. Doctor saw us almost an hour after our appointment time, had horrible bedside manners and did not take my concerns seriously. I've never felt more insulted at a doctor's visit in my life. I almost wanted to walk out. Such a shame that I had to pay in the end as she offered zero help, had awful relationship skills and saw us for a whole 10mins. During my son's examination, she didn't even examine his body thoroughly before providing her opinion. Complete waste of my time and energy. Will NOT be back for a follow up visit and definitely will not recommend this doctor.

I made the appointment on Zoc Doc 2 weeks in advanced and no where on the site did it say I would have to wait over an hour to see Dr. Tamboli.
I get there and get seen rather quickly by the nurse who takes my vitals. She tells me the doctor will be in shortly and leaves.
After sitting in the exam room for what feels like forever, I checked my phone for the time and noticed it had been nearly an hour since the nurse had left the exam room. I went to the nurses station and told them I had been there for a while and no one had checked on me. The nurse told me she would check to see how everything was going with the doctor and get back to me. Some time later, she comes back and says the doctor will be another 30 minutes and that she usually runs an hour behind. Um.... what? There was no heads up at all for this and I told the nurse that I would like to leave. The nurse goes to get Dr. Tamboli. Dr. Tamboli apologizes to me and asks if I would like to reschedule, but honestly... if I have to wait another hour each time I come in I might as well not come.
The reason I went in was so small... I was wanting to see if I am still allergic to shrimp. I would rather just not eat shrimp than wait alone for an hour to see the doctor.
Forewarning to anyone who goes, you might have to wait a long time since I was told by the nurse and doctor that this is typical.

I was very impressed with Dr. Tamboli and her entire staff. She spent her time with me asking many questions, analyzing tests and data and then clearly explained her thoughts and suggestions for treatment. She never appeared rushed and I left the office feeling like a valued patient. Her staff was very helpful making sure I clearly understood the doctors directives.
