About Dr. Sarah Munther
Dr. Sarah Munther received her bachelors of science in human nutrition with honors research distinction and a minor in music at The Ohio State University. Continuing there, she received her doctorate of optometry in 2015. She went on to complete a primary care/ocular disease residency at the Columbus and Chillicothe, Ohio Veteran Affairs Medical Centers in 2016. Additionally, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 2018 and graduated from the inaugural class of the American Optometric Association (AOA) Leadership Institute in 2021. Currently, Dr. Munther is a member of the AAO, AOA, and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP).
Dr. Munther was in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio for 5+ years prior to joining James Tracey Eye Care in January 2022. She looks forward to connecting with and caring for patients of all ages. She practices full scope optometry including acute and chronic ocular disease, speciality contact lenses, and pediatric myopia control. She resides in Hoboken with her husband and enjoys traveling, music, fitness, and auntie-hood.

I didn’t see the doctor I booked the appointment with. I don’t even know if she was a doctor or just the assistant.
Didn’t even look at the retinal scan that they make you pay for.

Overall not the best experience I’ve had at an optometrist. This was my first time here and the first thing I noticed was that the office needs some upkeep quite badly. On top of that my exam left much to be desired. I understand that I chose an appointment at the end of the day, but I felt rushed throughout the process and that my care wasn’t a priority. Additionally, I was almost charged for services that I didn’t accept. I think my whole time at the office including waiting time was less than 30 minutes.

They said that time was already booked and did not want to give mW the doctor I researched. Yhey also said that the appoinyment time i booked was booked by them. I do not have a lot of time in my schedule so this was a problem.
Since I now have to start at square one with the doctor they suggested in their office (probably not as good if they are pushing him/her on me) I need to take a moment and look at other options. I may be back but this was not a positive first impression .

Overall great exam, Dr. Sarah was very friendly and Cristina put me at ease for my appointment. Billing and insurance was straightforward. Enza, who works at the front desk even helped me to pick out frames when it seemed like she was juggling some other things so I really appreciated that. The only growth area would be I was not greeted upon entering the practice and instead had to go up to reception myself to announce I was there for an appointment. Might just be a personal thing but it’s a nice touch when you’re greeted upon entering a medical facility because it makes you feel welcome.

Dr. Sarah Munther (aka..Dr.Sarah) was just wonderful and highly knowledgeable in her field. We talked about my condition and she provided all of the checkups required. I would highly recommend Dr. Sarah and the assistance, there is no pressure made to buy but they do walk you through the options, excellent.

Worth the visit! Christina is such a delight to work with — she has great bedside manner and patient care. Dr. Sarah Munther is very knowledgeable and kind. She gave me great advice for dry eye & wasn't pushy with time or sales. They also have a really nice selection of visibly priced frames to choose from & office rebates for contact lenses that patients can take advantage of. I would recommend anyone who cares about their eyes & vision to stop by for an appointment.
