About Dr. Scott Caughell

Scott Caughell, O.D., FAAO, received his Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Science with a minor in Chemistry from Indiana Wesleyan University. Dr. Caughell specializes in medical eye care, eye disease management, glaucoma, pediatric vision care, and binocular vision. He also has a specialized focus on advanced procedures, vision and learning, concussions, and neuro-ophthalmic cases. Becoming nearsighted at an early age, Dr. Caughell credits his eye doctor for helping him see better after each visit. He has always loved the power of science and the importance vision holds in all aspects of life. Continuing to learn and solve difficult problems for patients brings him joy. He achieves this by taking the time to listen and truly working to figure out complex visual and eye health issues. Dr. Caughell enjoys being an advocate for his patients, helping them not only with vision care but also with overall health and systemic problems related to the eyes. When not treating patients, he enjoys watching his boys play soccer, being active in church activities and missions work, fishing, fixing tractors, and helping Veterans.

1st. The staff is very friendly as soon as you walk in. Very capable of making you feel like you are instantly one of the family. 2nd. I knew I was in good hands immediately as well as soon as I heard them playing Christian music. This gave my spirit comfort that I would need to fight spiritual battles just to receive healthcare. This is a major plus and is the single greatest thing I look for in a healthcare facility. 3rd. Then we got to meet Dr. Caughell. He sealed the deal! Amazing man and great light hearted attitude!!!! My family and friends will go no where else but here with Dr. Cuaghill and his staff!!!
