Pleasant knowledgeable great bedside manners
Dr. Weissman and his staff were professional, concerned for my health and well-being, courteous, personable, and forthcoming and knowledgeable about billing and insurance inquiries. A real pleasure to receive medical care from a highly competent doctor in New York without the attitude.
Wonderful Excellent Dr. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Office had everything there. Highly recommend this Dr. RF
Thorough diagnostician, answered my questions, and I left having a very clear idea about future treatment. Nice staff as well.
My second visit to this doctor. He is great, and Anna is amazing. Always professional and kind.
It is o.k.
Great office. Highly professional
Very busy office but I was seen right away. My vision and eye pressure were tested and I was given a "field test" for peripheral vision and left with my prescription called into my pharmacy and new RX for eyeglasses in less than 45 minutes. That is about as good as it gets.
Very attentive, patient and explained what he was doing and why. Would certainly recommend and go back to him.
He's awesome every time. I am very happy I found Dr. Weissman. What a great guy and doctor.
Overall a good visit, the doctor was friendly and took the time to explain and discuss my issues and the treatment. There was some waiting time.
Dr. Weissman was very helpful. He explained what was going on with my eye condition and laid out his plan to remedy it.
He's a great doctor! Very nice and funny too. His staff is also nice, courteous, and accommodating! Highly recommended!
Love this office. I am always seen within five minutes of arrival and receptionists learned my name within second visit. Highly recommend.
He was fantastic. Definitely recommend.
Great professional service.
The staff was great - so nice and welcoming ! The care was timely and precise . A+
straight shooter. nice guy.
Very good at answering questions, understood my issues, and I'm glad I choose him and his staff for my eye doctor visit. I had LASIK back 4 1/2 years ago so wanted an eye doctor who had experience with post-LASIK patients
He's very accommodating . He explained everything what's happening into my eyes. He's a good ophthalmologist
Dr. Weissman's office runs so efficiently. Everyone, from the receptionist to Dr. Weissman, is knowledgeable about eye care and extremely friendly. I am always pleased by the attention to detail they give me and my eyes. Great practice!
Office staff was nice Dr. Examine my eyes thoroughly. Hopefully these new prescription will help.
Great staff and great doctor!
Did a great job. very efficient and comprehensive.
The staff was friendly but their conveying of information was subpar. I had called to ask them BEFORE I even made the appointment whether I would have a co-pay or not. They ran my name through my insurance with me on the phone and told me that I would not. I came in for my appointment where the first doctor took me and under his breath mentioned that I in fact had a co-pay along with several other bits of information so as to cover the fact that he just informed me that I do have co-pay (while my chin was on the machine for my eye exam). I then pulled back and asked him to repeat what he said and asked him if I had a co-pay. To which he responded that I did and that he thought the lady at the front desk had informed me of that. Mind you, he had been sitting there when I walked in and KNEW that the lady had NOT in fact informed me of my co-pay. So I said no, she did not tell me. He then said, " I know she told you on the phone that you wouldn't but then we checked your benefits and realized you did but I thought she would've told you that when you came in." All in all, I wasted an entire hour of my day trying to go to an office that misinformed me and then tried to play me by making me take the exam and have to pay a co-pay. After that, I tried to make another appointment at another office and I COULDNT because this office had a hold on my insurance account and I wasn't able to book another appointment until I had to call them myself and ask them to lift the hold since I hadn't even had my appointment with them to begin with. Eventually they apologized as I left but it was def a waste of my day/time and was inconvenient for me to make my next appointment with another office.
Dr. Weissman was thorough and professional. He explained everything he was doing and the results. His staff, Ron, Annie, and Erica were all kind, cheerful, and very helpful. Great office.
My appointment was great - quick and efficient - but i've now been waiting for two months for someone to call me back regarding the contacts I ordered. Not for the contacts themselves - for someone to actually call me back. Their voicemail is incorrectly setup so can't leave a message . One time it took me to an answering service where the person who answered the phone actually asked me why I was calling. I've called and spoken to someone probably 10 times and have called at least 3 times a week now and they just keep telling me to call back and wait for someone named Ron. Who is Ron? And why can't he call me back? In an entire two months? How hard is it to order contact lenses? When will I get my contact lenses? It's been two months. If i knew this practice operated like this I would have just gone somewhere else. It's such a pain it's unbelievable. I'm pretty furious. I guess i'll just keep calling :D
Really great experience. Did not have to wait. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Doctor Weissman was also very friendly and had great bedside manner. Highly recommended.
Great staff, very efficient service. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience where the service was very professional and everything went very smoothly. I will definitely go back.
One of the best and most efficient medical offices I have been to. Made my appointment on line (same day appt), immediately got a call back confirming some info and called into room at 901 for a 9am appt. Doc was very professional and easy going....Definitely recommend.
Very comprehensive yet quick exam. He didn't di any tests I didn't need and i appreciated that.
I enjoyed my visit. There were a few hiccups with filling out forms as a first time patient, and tracking down my insurance information, but that was as much my fault as it was the office's. Dr. Weissman is friendly, seems very knowledgeable, and informs you of your options without being too overbearing with a sales pitch.
Professional, Great bedside manner. Best staff ever!!!!!
Booked the appointment within minutes of creating a ZocDoc account. Appointment was for for the same day. Initially, could not correct the Eye Infection/trauma to the eye. Persistent issue, no fault here. Dr. Weissman followed up immediately with a new treatment plan. Feel 100% times better. Going back for follow up appointment in a couple of days. Everyone in the office makes you feel at home. Very relaxing atmosphere. Would recommend to family and friends.
Had a great experience. Was in and out quickly, felt like my examination was thorough and I was pleased with the outcome.
Dr. Weissman is an outstanding eye care practitioner.
Great report with his patients
DO NOT COME HERE. The office staff is TERRIBLE. They NEVER pick up the phone. The office number goes to a call center where "you can leave a message". I've been trying to get a receipt for reimbursement for a visit for almost a MONTH now. WILL NOT be coming back. Doctor was fine. Get new office staff.
I saw Dr Weissman in a rush to get it in before my insurance expired in 2013... and he remembered me at the end of 2016! I had gone to another doctor only because he was more conveniently located to me once in between and it was such a horrendous experience I looked up Dr Weissman again to return to him - even though he is even more inconveniently located to me (my life is entirely in BK now!) But I don't regret it and I'm sending my husband there ASAP.
I had a very nice experience with them. Very friendly and they got me in and out quickly.
I was late, but everyone was comfortable and friendly, Dr is professional.
Dr. Weissman is a very mild-mannered, kind doctor. He speaks gently, which made me feel relaxed and at-ease. Eye tests were taken before I met him. After asking me what my issues were, he referred to the test results and did further testing. He gave praises and encouragement, which helped me feel comfortable. He asked more questions as he had a hunch on what was wrong, and it turned out to be right. This displays his knowledge and quick thinking. After asking me for family history, he scheduled me for another exam in the future to do further testing.
I came in on Oct. 17 for an updated glasses/contact lens prescription. I paid in full for eyeglasses plus soft contact lenses, with the doctor's assistants checking my insurance every step of the way. I get a call a couple of days later saying that I have to give more b/c my insurance didn't cover what they initially thought it covered, even though they checked my insurance after every single step in the Oct. 17 appointment. After I complained over the phone about how dishonest their office was, the doctor tells the assistant I get a 20 percent discount "because I deserve it." I have also asked repeatedly for my glasses/contact lens prescription, which have continuously been ignored. I come in on Nov. 15 to pick up my eyeglasses and ask for my eyeglasses/contact lens prescription, which again, was not given to me. The doctor's assistant that I originally complained to over the phone runs out of the office as soon as he recognizes me, and I have to deal with another assistant. She tells me she can't give me my eyeglasses prescription and I tell her I'm not leaving and will camp out at the doctor's office for the rest of the day until I get it. A second later I get my eyeglasses prescription from her. She says she can't give me my soft contact lens prescription b/c the previous assistant who ran out of there is the only one authorized to do so. I received a call from the previous assistant who told me my soft contact lenses have not been finalized b/c of my severe nearsightedness and astigmatism and they therefore cannot give me my soft contact lens prescription until they get the contact lenses. It is now a month and a half later and I'm still waiting for both my soft contact lenses as well as the soft contact lens prescription.
I think doctor is knowledgeable and professional as it was my first visit !!
Excellent doctor, really paid attention and suggested some exercises that I could do to strengthen my eyes, rather than just giving me a prescription. Office isn't the nicest and could use a little tidying up.
Dr. Weissman is a highly experienced Ophthalmologist who is very detailed and through in his analysis. He applies his experience combined with modern technology in order to drive effective diagnosis and treatment. He listens very well, answers questions, and pays attention to details. He is very receptive to patient's experience and collaborates with them so that the treatment is in accordance with their lifestyle. I highly recommend him.
Very knowledgeable. Articulate. Explained everything. And made me feel very comfortable during a stressful experience.
This was my first zocdoc experience and it was a GREAT ONE! This is my first time in the office and everyone from the front desk to the gentlemen who conducted my eye tests were friendly and thorough (and knew what they were talking about) I was also able to fill out forms online which was fast and efficient. I appreciated my pre-call confirming my appointment bc I knew exactly what info they needed. Dr. Weissman was kind, and thorough (and even knew a bunch of my other doctors ). I would highly recommend !
The doctor saw me right away and was very knowledgeable. A member of his staff called me the day before the appointment to discuss the reason for my appointment and the receptionist was very kind and friendly.
If you want to try to be talked into getting LASIK, this is the doctor for you. GOOD LUCK ever getting ahold of this office for ANY reason. They DO NOT answer and DO NOT return your messages no matter how urgent. Not to mention the doctor left in the middle of my appointment then came back in the room ten minutes later AND somehow mixed up my prescription - they thought my left eye was my right eye. How that happens is beyond me.
Very thorough and personable
Wonderful doctor, explained everything fully. Would highly recommend
Dr. Weissman provided a second opinion on a procedure I was very apprehensive about having. He provided unbiased insight and great counsel. .
Dr. Weissman's office was a little frenzied but I was seen fairly quickly and have confidence in the exam I was given. Dr. Weissman seems like a great eye doc!
great eye doctor!!! made me feel comfortable right away. highly recommend!!!!
Very knowledgeable and patient friendly, go see him
By far the best doctor visit I've had. For once I did not feel rushed although it was a fast appointment. Staff was just amazing and super nice compared to the crap I had at my last doc appt with the staff there. The doctor was very knowledgeable and diagnosed me within the first two sentences. He really is good at what he does. Highly recommend him for an ophthalmologist.
Dr. Weissman, is good and that's why I came back to him for my annual exam. However, the assistant on the day of my appointment was less than stellar and I've had the worst time getting my Rx from their office. I made the mistake of leaving w/out a copy on the insistence that they would email it to me. Having just had my eyes dilated, I was uncomfortable and didn't think twice about leaving w/ out my Rx. I regret doing so, because the office has been unresponsive about providing me my Rx so that I can refill my contacts and order new frames. I am very frustrated and feel fully serviced. As for the assistant, he made me feel dumb for the price I paid for contacts from an online store (he saw the price when I showed him what kind of contacts i've been ordering), stating that their office could provide a better offer. At the end of the appointment casually said that the online price was similar to their price, but insisted that my Rx would be emailed to me. My appointment was on July 11th....It's now July 28th and I still don't have my Rx. I am afraid I will not be returning.
Prescription came out poorly and they push you on the glasses afterwards. The person who sold glasses there (younger gentleman) was especially pushy and pushed through an order for glasses before I confirmed and became very condescending when I asked to cancel.
He was great, professional and extremely knowledgeable.
It always a pleasure to visit dr scott weisman ....always get a feed back.
Super as usual. Well run office. They make it all easy. I was out of contacts before a trip and they gave me enough to get me through and ordered new ones.
Very quick and professional. I would highly recommend.
My eyes have perfect vision. This was a routine check-up. I was very disturbed by the fact that the doctor seemed to insist that I wear glasses even if by a minor number. When I refused and said clearly my vision is 20/20, he said well in that case if not this year I will come back next year. Then he put some drops in my eyes which he said were part of the testing procedure. I did not feel comfortable and since have been experiencing some problems with my near sight. Toward the end the doctor he suggested that I purchase prescription sunglasses if nothing else as that was covered by my insurance. Ofcourse what he didn't tell was the enormous out of pocket expense and ofcourse I didn't purchase that either. However, for the mere fact that he kept pushing and insisting for things I did not need, I will stay miles away from his clinic even when I eventually need to see an eye doctor. I was not about to put a review, however decided its best I share my experience.
Im always disappointed when i have to make a copay for such small matters but when it comes to something as important as my eyes I didn't mind especially with him. He seemed very knowledgable about prior conditions that I had.
Very good and professional. Office staff is nice and they were very efficient in taking my information and getting me seen by Dr. Weissman.
The doctor and his employees were very nice, but this doesn't seem to be a legitimate medical practice. I feel like I was scammed, and should get my money back. His assistant did the letter chart test with me. To check to my color vision, the assistant just picked up random tubes laying around the room and asked me what color the caps were. There was no color chart. Then when the doctor saw me, he just looked at my eyes and asked if my vision was blurry after his assistant put drops in them. His assistant informed me my vision was perfect and the doctor informed me that he didn't seem any damage on my eyes. He recommended that I go ahead and take Plaquenil and come back for check-ups to make sure my vision remains good after beginning Plaquenil. I was informed at the end of my appointment that he also needed to do a field test, but that their field test machine was out being repaired. The secretary informed me that I was being charged for each test even though I was there for ONE thing: consult evaluation to initiate Plaquenil (I was diagnosed with active lupus this year). My rheumatologist's referral did not specify the name of an ophthalmologist, so I relied on ZocDoc to find one, and unfortunately chose this one. The secretary had me make another appointment for the field test, even though this should have been done in one appointment. It was very inconvenient for me to rush from work to schlep over to this office Twice. When I showed up for the field test appointment, they informed me after I had been waiting that, even though it was two weeks since my initial appointment, their field test machine was still out being repaired. The doctor reprimanded his staff for not informing me prior to the appointment that the machine was still out being repaired, and he put on a show for me, in hopes to make me feel like I hadn't wasted my time. He took me back to the exam room and told me to look straight ahead while he stood to the side, and to let him know when I saw him move his arm in my peripheral vision. I was not charged for this second appointment. When the secretary tried to get me to make other appointment for the field test on my way out, I said I was unsure of my schedule and could not make an appointment at that time. Needless to say, I did not call to reschedule that appointment. I am now stuck having to go to LI to see another ophthalmologist, and having to pay all over again for a consult. The one in LI insists upon doing all the consult procedures himself, as he understandably does not trust the records of other practices, probably because he's aware of the existence of practices like this one in Manhattan. I have not begun taking Plaquenil, as I need to have a complete and legitimate ophthalmology consult first.
Thorough, nice and quick.
Very quick and professional. I was in and out very fast. Cancellation policy is both strict and steeply priced, but I understand why, so can't fault them too much for that.
Dr. Weissman was very thorough, personable and pleasant. I waited maybe 5 minutes max to be seen. Great office.
My appointment was relatively quick and painless. The doctor and his staff were very professional and helpful.
Dr. Weismann and his staff are all great!
Dr. Weissman did a thorough exam and mentioned a number of different things to be aware of, but he didn't push me to do anything unnecessary.
Dr. Weissman was nice, although he never acknowledged me by name. He was conservative in his diagnosis, which I like. His staff was nice enough. His office definitely seemed like they were just into selling glasses/contacts.
Lovely staff. Patient, respectful, tolerant & professional!
Had to wait 20 or so minutes, but was well worth it. Dr. Weissman is very thorough in his examination, makes you feel very comfortable, and isn't condescending like many other doctors I've recently encountered.
I do not recommend this place at all. It took over 2 months for me to receive my contacts lens trials due to several mistakes made by the office. Take your money elsewhere!
Professional and efficient. Would highly recommend Dr. Weissman and staff.
My experience at Dr Weissman's office was efficient and positive. The staff was friendly and personably. Dr. Weissman was honest, organized, and thorough. He explained things clearly and treated me with respect and kindness. I feel confident about my new contact lense prescription and have a better understanding of how to care for my eyes.
The entire office is a scam to have you buy glasses. DO NOT recommend.
ALWAYS EASY-GOING, FUN, THOROUGH IN HIS EXAMINATIONS.
Calm and cool in a good way. He reminded me of the doctors you see the movies. Quick and professional but very knowledgeable and knew all the right questions to solve the problem. I have been to a few eye doctors for sore painful eyes, honestly none worked. I was going crazy with eye tearing. Two days later and no more pain. I would most recommend him. And i was wearing the wrong glasses.
Excellent eye doctor. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
Dr. Weissman was patient and took his time with the examination. He rechecked my vision to make sure the numbers were accurate. He also had Vanessa check my glasses to see if they were made correctly.
Dr was extremely professional and I will defintely return to him. So glad my primary Dr recommend him. His staff very courteous as well.
Very happy with the staff, service, and dr.Weissman himself.
Dr Weissman is a true professional and you are in excellent hands when you go to him. Wouldn't go to anyone else!!
Incredibly friendly and efficient staff
Dr. Weissman is not only a great doctor, but his bedside manner is second to none. I have been his patient for years, and wouldn't go anywhere else for my ophthalmic care. Also, his staff is always courteous and professional.
The front desk staff was amazing but Dr. Weissman seemed very distracted and a little cold
The visit was awesome. Dr.Scott Weissman , MD always listen. Also, he also recommend if you need any additional treatments.
I'm a big fan of Dr. Weissman and his office! He's kind, personable, attentive, and efficient! He also makes ordering contacts and getting prescriptions a breeze.
Great Doc! Great staff!
Very professional-easy going manner-came away very happy I found him for eye care- Total office experience enjoyable, professional, and efficient The way I wish all medical visits were
Courteous and professional staff. Dr. Weissman and technician were great.
Great experience. Dr.Weissman took the time to explain the entire process, next steps, etc. The office staff was courteous, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them!
So far I'm satisfied
Very thorough and informative
Dr. Weissman is the best eye doctor I've been to in the past several years. I've been to a couple. I'm happy with how the two appointment's have gone and happy that he was the first of the past few who finally gave me a diagnosis as to why contact lenses have been uncomfortable for the past few years. I'm very happy with my decision to go to him and I will happily continue going to his office in the future. In addition, his staff is super nice!
Best Eye Doctor in the city. You get an immediate sense of his expertise and he is great to speak with about your concerns.
The reception staff and support staff (Ron) were excellent, very helpful and attentive. Dr. Weissman however came across as "uninterested" and absent minded. The doctor did not seem integrated into the office.
A smart doctor but kind of seems like he has no personality..doesn't offer many options to save money.
Dr. Weissman was GREAT! The front desk staff was AWESOME!!! They all made a scary situation so painless! I don't like to go to the Dr. But I'll have no problem going back for my follow up visit!
The Dr. by himself is fine, however the office staff is a mess. I tried placing orders for contacts through Dr. Weissman's office on three separate occasions, only once did I receive my order (all 3 orders were paid for). I tried talking with the office several times to resolve the issue but was unable to. I would find a different office
Dr. Weissman is very knowledgeable, which was great. However, the technology was seriously lacking. It was very outdated. He was kind of all over the place, and so was the staff. The receptionist was EXCEPTIONALLY rude. I probably won't be going back.
Dr. Weissman listened to everything I had to say and answered my questions while asking relevant questions of his own. He was willing to try a new path with me and it has achieved very good results.
This doctor squeezed me in at the request of my PCP for a semi emergency even though I was a new patient. He was friendly, thorough & very helpful.
Dr Weissman is very thorough and careful and caring. He and his staff are pleasant and professional.
This office is about capitalizing itself mostly. In fact it looks they don't care much about really helping people.
Very helpful and reassuring.
Because I am diabetic, I see Dr. Weissman every 6 months. He always sees me quickly, gives me a thorough examination and has a good bedside manner. Conveniently the office also sells eyeglasses which are comparable in price to outside eyeglass vendors or a tad less in cost.
Service at Dr Weissman office was excellent and on point
Even though there was a lot of confusion with my insurance, the staff at the office were very patient. The doctor himself was very personable, and ensures that all aspects of your problem are taken care of - not just those that require a prescription. Happy to have finally found an ophthalmologist I like AND trust.
He's been my eye doctor for over 10 years! He's awesome!
Not only fantastic, but i've just sent another 4 his way. Highly recommended.
I had 3 appointments with the doctor. The first two times I waited 30 minutes. The second time, I called 30 minutes before the appointment and asked to reschedule, as it was difficult to leave work as planned. The office refused and said that I would be charged $50, and that I would be treated as a no-show. While I understand the need to charge for a no-show, there are times when working patients have unexpected developments. Other doctors accommodate as long as a patient calls, even if it is less than 24 hours, particularly for returning patients and when the request is for rescheduling rather than cancellation. To make matters worse, I tried to discuss this with the doctor ( I did rearrange my work day and I made it to the appointment). He refused to discuss or to entertain flexibility in the event of a work emergency. I will not return.
The visit was nice and very helpful.
Amazing experience! Such an easy experience and nice doctor!! Love him
Coming as a first time patient, the process was quick and efficient. I waited for five minutes and Dr. Weissman and his assistant were very attentive to my needs and made some good recommendations. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Weissman to my friends and family for Ophthalmologic care.
It was great experienced....
Amazing experience !! Loved him! So easy and such a sweet guy!
Friendly office staff and Dr. Weissman appeared to be very knowledgeable (first time visit). Was seen in less than 5 minutes, which is a big plus. Planning to go back for a follow-up.
He made me come in for 3 visits for an eye infection and none of the visits cured the infection. Additionally, his team didn't bill the annual visit correctly, he didn't do the standard dilation until I asked, and I saw 4 charges on the annual visit, 1 of which didn't occur.
I cannot recommend Dr Weissman highly enough. I first went to him with an issue with spotty vision - he explained the problem in an easy to understand way and gave me an over the counter solution that got my vision back to normal within a week. He also performed my laser eye surgery in April 2015 - this was a great experience (before, day-of, and the year of follow-up appointments after). Dr Weissman has great bedside manner, his wait time is minimal, and his office staff is helpful and professional.
Excellent Dr., very knowledgeable, and caring. Highly recommended!!
Visit went smoothly, as always. I find Dr. Weissman to be a friendly and caring man. My wife is his patient, too.
The staff, nurses and doctors were all very kind.
Excellent care. Thorough, detailed and caring.
I have been a patient of Dr. Weissman for the past 10 years. He is the ultimate professional. His staff is also patient and kind. Dr. Weissman is one of the best doctors that I know.
He was very knowledgable and very delicate examining my eyes. I didn't feel rushed in any way. Staff was very friendly all around. I will be returning!
Im a regular patient. This isnt ny first visit. He is very good and the staff is very professional.
Dr. Weissman worked extremely hard to adjust my contact lens prescription -- not an easy task.
I have been going to Dr. Weissman for more years than I can remember. He is cordial, friendly and professional. Most of all he is a great competent Doctor with a wonderful demeanor. I would highly, highly recommend him. Most of all there is never a wait in his office. The Best
Dr. Scott Weissman is an excellent and most caring health professional;. I have been a patient for the last nineteen years and strongly recommend him to anyone .
He is the best !
Highly professional, recommends the best advice, friendly
Dr. Weismann is awesome. He is super professional but nice at the same time. He sure knows how to upsell lenses because I intended to walk away with normal but ended up getting Transitions but I am happy with the decision. The only thing is, if you intend to get your frames from the store attached to the office, be aware that there are no economy-priced frames. I ended spending more money than I wanted on frames but I will have some very nice Prada glasses.
It was a positive experience.
He was very informative, explaining everything, as he conducted the examination. He demonstrated a great bed side manner, in addition to a great sense of humor. Susan A
Great, friendly doctor. Luke warm on the rest of the staff
Professional, direct and to the point, all around good doctor.
This was my first visit with Dr. Weissman. He was very friendly and professional. Won't try to sell you anything you don't need. I found out that I don't need reading glasses after being prescribed for them by my pervious eye doctor for years. The only con is the sales guy he sent me to get fitted for Sun glasses. He seemed very anxious and pushy. I ended up not buying. However I'll come back next year for my annual exam.
Got in right away and had a speedy appointment. The Doctor was pleasant, knowledgeable, and personable. I felt like he cared about my eyes and giving me what was right for me. Would recommend
All around great experience!
When I entered the doctor's office I saw a retail size eyeglass store in the back. I filled out the intake forms indicating that I had had lasik surgery to correct my vision and that I had sarcoidosis, a condition that requires a regular eye exam. The receptionist who had me fill out the forms then took me into an optometry exam room, sat in a chair and asked me to sit across from her for an eye exam. I told her that I had come for a check up with a doctor, as my responses to the questions on the forms clearly indicated, and not to purchase eyewear. I was then taken to the doctor's examination room. According to Dr. Weissman, the receptionist/optometrist was supposed to have put drops in my eyes before she left me in his exam room. Instead, Dr. Weissman put the drops in my eyes and left so the drops had time to take effect. While sitting in the room, I overheard him discussing eyeglasses with customers. It is worth mentioning that when I scheduled my appointment over the phone, the receptionist asked me if I carried insurance for eyewear but did not ask if I required eyewear. My overall impression was of an opthomology practice giving undue priority to eyewear sales over the practice of medicine. Given the fact that I had not made an appointment for corrective lenses or been asked if I required them, I was appalled at the unprofessional conduct. I did receive an eye exam from the doctor, but my confidence was shaken when an optometry exam was attempted without first inquiring if I need corrective lenses. I would not recommend Dr. Weissman.
He said my eyes didn't dilate fast enough so he flooded me with that stuff. I couldn't see at all the rest of the day. Then his glasses sales person was unhelpful and managed to sell me on glasses that were so unnecessarily expensive. I had never seen an eye doctor before, and overall that was a pretty bad experience. Staff even made me wait around while they ate cake when I stopped in to pickup the finished frames.
Very professional visit. Took time to explain my condition and what I could do to prevent it in the future.
The Staff seemed highly trained and aware of how to prepare me for Dr. Weissman to see me. The office ran efficiently and I was in and out in 30 minutes.
very short notice appointment, flawless check-up.
we had a good dialogue. He answered all my questions. Very thorough.
Dr. Weissman, as far as my experience with him in-person, was pleasant. However, I do have an extreme issue with the professionalism that his staff showed towards me. They were rude, inadequate, and completely vile towards me and my insurance provider. I will not be returning.
Great doctor, amazing service. 1 stop shop. I was in and our in less than 45 mins and that included picking out and ordering new glasses. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Bedside manner was pretty casual. He seemed like he had a lot of experience, though, and definitely expressed real concern about the health of my eyes, which I appreciated. Staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant.
A very nice experience , could`nt be more happier. Thank you very much
No wait time at all! Very professional and polite.
Dr. Weissman has been my opthamologist for years upon years for the obvious reason. He is a fantastic doctor. Truly an asset to his profession.
He is caring yet professional and listened to what I had to say. He made sure he answered all my questions and put me at ease about my concerns. His staff was friendly and courteous.
Doctor is great. Some staff members not so much, though. Some need more sensitivity/customer training.
Everyone was very nice
Expeditious and professional. The excellent news regarding my eye sight is very welcome.
Great work ethics, help me out. Treated me very well! Vitalis Perez
Dr. Weissman was very professional, yet friendly and conversive. I love the fact that he has an optometrist on-site, which made it a one-stop shop after my exam. I really had a painless, fantastic visit, and I can't believe I actually thought a doctor's visit could be fun!
Great Doctor. Very friendly and caring. He was quick to get me in and took care of me immediately. I would highly recommend.
It is always a pleasure to have an appointment with Doctor Weissman.
He's a great guy -- very nice and professional
Everything went smoothly......I like Dr.Weissman...He kmows his stuff....he cares about the patent....I recommend him....
I have been going to Dr. Weissman for the past 6 years since he did my laser eye surgery. After my surgery I was so happy with him that I kept him as my regular eye doctor. His staff is just ok but I'll put up with them to go to him because he is that great!!
Staff was friendly. Dr. Weissman explained what he would like to see happen in my case and was extremely professional
Very nice, knowledgeable and professional.
He checked my eyes carefully and gave me posiltive sugestions.
Average experience. Office atmosphere felt a little dated. Glasses selection is limited.
He was very helpful!Thanks doctor!
Dr. Weissman was great. He took his time with me, was through, honest and assuring. Would definitely recommend him.
He doesn't seem to listen. It also seems he tries to get you in for as many appointments as possible without really treating you. He's cancelled appointments the day before. His office does not have any sense of organization. It took them 5 weeks to get an order of contacts to me and they were the wrong ones (the ones he recommended I discontinue using because I was allergic to them.) I had to leave work on three separate occasions just to try to receive my contacts. It was just over all not a good experience. This is why people order their glasses and contacts from Warby or 1-800-contacts.
