He was patient, caring and helpful. He also made suggestions and HELPED me which sadly I feel is very rare nowadays from doctors. He even printed me research and took time explaining things to me. I’m thoroughly impressed with him and his staff. I really can’t recommend him enough. ”

Dr. Shaan Waqar is a highly qualified allergist who offers a full range of allergy care services in our Plainview location. He has been practicing with ENT and Allergy Associates since 2018. Dr. Waqar is a New York native who grew up on Long Island and completed the prestigious seven-year Physician-Scientist combined BS/MD program from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and Albany Medical College. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Northwell Health (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center), he pursued a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Northwell Health in Great Neck, NY.
Dr. Waqar is board certified in Allergy and Immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been promoted to Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FACAAI) and holds membership in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Waqar has presented, and been published, in a number of prestigious journals and conferences, and has been honored numerous times.

I highly recommend Dr Waqar. He is very nice and is thorough in explaining my condition. He is actually the second doctor that saw me to help me manage my skin itch. His treatment management worked well than the previous one. Also, his staff are courteous and friendly, especially when I had my skin allergy test.

After seeing a different doctor who kind of shrugged away my symptoms, Dr Waqar listened carefully and fully explained which tests he was ordering and what he was looking to rule out. It was a relief to feel heard after struggling with symptoms for the past month.
