About Dr. Shannon Mcclure
Dr. McClure specializes in primary care, contact lenses, and management of ocular disease. She completed her undergraduate degree in health education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
She went on to receive her doctorate of optometry at Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. As a student, she gained experience in pediatrics, low vision rehabilitation, specialty contact lenses, surgical co-management, and management of ocular disease such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. Dr. McClure is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association.
Dr. McClure grew up in a military family and has happily made northern Colorado home as her parents were raised in the area and she has her extended family nearby. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, running, reading, baking, Broncos football, and Rockies baseball.

I scheduled my appointment for the earliest available slot at 2:00 PM the day before. The office then rescheduled it—first to 9:40 PM (which was clearly an error), and then again to 2:40 PM the day of the appointment. I rearranged my entire schedule, including finding someone to pick up my kids from school at 3:15 PM, to accommodate their changes.
I arrived 7 minutes late because I was waiting on the sitter, and they canceled my appointment entirely. Canceling someone for being 7 minutes late—after changing their appointment time twice—is unreasonable. If I had been 30 minutes late to my original appointment, that would be understandable. This was not that.
People have real lives, responsibilities, and kids. A rigid 7-minute cutoff in this situation is excessive and unprofessional. I will not be returning.
