Dr. Burmy is an experienced and compassionate physician who has been providing treatment and care to her patients for over 12 years. She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC and SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, where she also completed a residency in Ocular Disease. Her previous clinical experience had her establish a dry eye clinic and manage this symptomatic and chronic condition for thousands of patients. In addition, Dr. Burmy has served as a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials in keratoconus including FDA studies on corneal collagen cross-linking. She is proficient in custom specialty lenses, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, as well as emergency and routine eye care. Dr. Burmy is committed to helping patients maximize their vision and maintain ocular health with an emphasis on preventative health care.

Friendly, professional, and experienced. I had a small hole in my retina and even the retina specialist was surprised that she caught the issue. Office staff have also been kind and professional and very helpful when I had to change my appointment. I once needed immediate attention for an eye infection and was seen by another doc the same day, and he was great, too. Cannot more highly recommend Dr. Burmy and her practice.

I loved her! She answered every one of my many questions with great patience, made sure to do all of the tests and even did additional ones when I brought up my previous dr’s comments. She took the time to understand my situation, including my past eye surgery history and my daily routine. She was incredibly helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend!!
