About Dr. Stephanie Dunker

Dr. Stephanie Dunker received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honors and a minor in Anthropology from East Tennessee State University. She then moved to Boston to attend the New England College of Optometry and received her Doctorate in Optometry in 2010. She performed various clinical rotations at Perkins School for the Blind, Jamaica Plain VA and various community health centers around the greater Boston area. Dr. Dunker then completed her residency in primary eye care and ocular pathology from the Jamaica Plain Veterans Administration. She has a particular interest in managing ocular conditions of the adult and geriatric population, including diabetic eye care, glaucoma management, cataract and refractive surgery co-management, dry eye and contact lenses. Outside of the eye clinic, Dr. Dunker enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and dog. She spends much of her free time toting the kids around to various activities but makes time for her own interests, including dancing and knitting/crocheting. She is an avid reader but loves being outdoors walking in the woods or working in the garden.
