“The whole office and retail space was well kept. The staff was very friendly. Prices were low even without insurance. I was even given a discount on my lenses. They provide lenses replacements on frames that you did not buy from their in-store retailer. Will return after the new year with my new vision insurance. ”

“The staff are friendly and accommodating! The doctor addressed my concerns and got my eye exam done in a timely manner and I was able to shop for glasses frames for as long as I wanted. One of the staff, Leo, also helped me pick out frames and went around the store finding more for me to try on! Very helpful! ”

About Dr. Susan Allen
Please be aware that we do not accept Medicaid if it is combined with Denver Health, Kaiser Permanente, Rocky Mountain Health Plans/Prime or Medicare. We can only accept Medicare if it is combined with Humana. Dr. Allen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Marshall B. Ketchum University (formerly Southern California College of Optometry). Her externships included the Indian Health Services of Lawton, Oklahoma, and El Toro Marine Corps Base in Tustin, California. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. Dr. Allen began practicing optometry in 1998 and joined Optical Masters in 2019. She specializes in family optometry and contact lenses. When Dr. Allen is not in the office, she enjoys cycling, hiking, and stand-up paddleboarding with her family.

This was my first time visiting the office, and I unfortunately do not think I will return for my next annual eye check. The office is a bit off-putting - they have 10 tvs with security views of the small office which is not very inviting.
I was not seen by the doctor I booked with (Dr. Susan) but the doctor who saw me was very nice, and listened to my concerns with care. My lower review is geared towards when I was picking out my new glasses: I felt like they were trying to sell me instead of help me. They even offered me a credit card after I turned down a few higher-priced frames. Although the entire staff was friendly, I didn’t like feeling like I was at a dealership.

Optical Masters on Federal has been our go to for years. Office staff is always friendly and welcoming! Never a disappointment! The glasses always come home early. The doctors are always informative. Just a very nice, clean, welcoming environment and staff. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely experience with Susan! Also the entire staff was super nice and accommodating. I ended up buying two frames and the sales associate was sooo helpful and fun to work with. It is super busy on the weekends but I didn’t mind it and actually made the atmosphere nice! Will be back for my annuals.

The Opticians are friendly, knowledgeable and O.M. has the best selection of unique and traditional frames. Love this business. Kind, patient.
