She answered all of my questions and did not make me feel rushed, but she also did not waste my time or insist on doing extra tests that may not be necessary. Her staff were very friendly and helped me pick out a stylish set of frames. They made the whole process very easy. I highly recommend Dr. O’shea and her team!”

With over 15 years in practice and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Folgar O’Shea has perfected her skills in refraction to provide you with the most precise prescription for eyeglasses and contact lenses. She specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dry eyes. Additionally, she is an expert in hard-to-fit contact lenses and uses the latest technology to make your viewing experience superior and comfortable. Dr. Folgar O’Shea does not routinely prescribe medications, as she believes in a more holistic approach to treating and preventing dry eyes. She firmly believes that most dry eye symptoms originate from wearing an inaccurate prescription, typically related to the astigmatism component. Dr. Folgar O’Shea has accurately corrected countless prescriptions that her patients’ prior doctors did not get right, and this alone has relieved over 90% of the dry eye–related symptoms her patients experienced. Please note, there is a $40 no-show and/or cancel within 24 hours of exam fee.

She was abrupt and didn’t ask why I was there. I had to interrupt the exam to tell her that I was there for a medical appointment not a routine check up. She was demeaning about my not wearing my glasses and overall didn’t seem interested in engaging with curiosity or compassion. I don’t understand her bedside manner.

This was my first time at the eye doctor! I switched jobs and my coverage changed. The receptionist were very kind and helpful. The provider was very nice, explained everything throughly, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend!

-price info was misleading
-communication was uncomfortable. When I asked the doctor follow up questions regarding my treatment and Bill, I could tell she was frustrated. I became standoffish after this. When my appointment ended, she just left the room so I had to follow her out and ask her explicitly if there was anything else I had to do because she did not day goodbye or tell me that everything was all set.
-I told the doctor this was the first time getting my eyes dilated and knowing that information, she still did not tell me anything about care for the rest of the day while dilated. I left the office on a bright sunny day and it was extremely uncomfortable trying to navigate my way home because I didn’t know my vision would be affected that much. I had to call and ask after the fact. I felt like such a burden, and that my treatment did not matter.

This was the most pleasant optometrist experience I have ever had. She was super clear and saw me right away. She was super reassuring when we found out I had a case of astigmatism — upfront about what was involved, and printed out the prescription for me at the end of our appointment.
I would 100% go back.
