About Dr. Tiffany Polanek

Dr. Tiffany Polanek grew up in a small farming community in southern Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Moorhead State University in Minnesota in 1996, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2000. She continued her training at the Illinois College of Optometry, completing the Primary Care and Ocular Disease residency program in 2001. Dr. Polanek has provided optometric care in a variety of different settings. Her career includes 15 years of teaching at the Illinois Eye Institute as an Associate Clinical Instructor in both the Primary Care Clinic and in the Cornea and Contact Lens Center for Clinical Excellence. While there, she provided eye care to patients, and clinical education to optometry students. She has extensive expertise in both adult and pediatric primary eye care, contact lenses – both traditional and specialty, and ocular disease. Dr. Polanek joined AEP in March 2016, where she provides eye care to patients of all ages. Dr. Polanek, her husband, and 4 children have made their home in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, and enjoy being a part of this beautiful community.

I was taken prior to my appointment time. The staff prior to the Dr as well as Dr Polanek were so efficient that I was out the door 12 minutes after my original appointment time.

The appointment did take a bit longer than I expected, but I think that was due to the new computer system that everyone was still getting used to. I feel staff & doctors are thorough and knowledgeable. Was happy to not be pressured to buy new glasses when there was no real change in my prescription.

My appointment was at 11:40 am. I waited until 11:20 am and asked at the desk how much longer the wait would be as I had afternoon appointments I needed to keep. The front desk staff, the staff who ran the preliminary tests and Dr. Polanek were all very responsive and moved me along as quickly as they could without sacrificing quality of care. Much appreciated!

I've been happy with the services AEP has provided since I started there a couple years ago. The Drs. take time with you to explain findings and answer questions. It's obvious they're busy but they don't rush. The other staff members are also professional and helpful.
I had a good experience with the overall eye exam and provider and would recommend her. As far as the services, purchasing eyeglasses or contacts, I have not had ordered so it's hard to recommend something I don't know about.
You guys make it an easy process for my family and I. You guys are very accommodating and helpful with any questions. You guys are also very understanding on how my insurance works and what the costs are for me. Great quick, fast and reinsuring experience
Dr Polanek. She took me in as an emergency due to my report of seeing flashing g lights. The staff was great too (hard to get through sometimes though). She was comprehensive, informative, knowledgeable and friendly. I was impressed!
