About Dr. Tricia Lee

Dr. Tricia Lee has wanted to be a physician since she was a small child, toting around her box of bandaids waiting for any boo-boo to take care of. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University in Macon and completed her internship and residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Louisville, allowing her to treat patients of all ages. During this time, she discovered a common thread running throughout medicine across different ages and subspecialties: diseases involving the immune system. This interest led her to work in an immunology lab, where she realized she wanted to sub-specialize in allergy and immunology. She then completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Lee fell in love with the intricacies of chronic diseases such as allergies, asthma, and eczema, especially as research brought life-changing treatments to patients and improved their quality of life. Dr. Lee has experience working in private practices in Manhattan, where she contributed to significant expansions. She also connected with the community by presenting at local events like the Teal Pumpkin Project playdate and educating local schools on best practices for food allergy management. For the past three years, Dr. Lee has been an Assistant Professor at Emory and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), where she was ranked 1st out of 217 providers for patient satisfaction in 2023 and received the Excellence in Patient Satisfaction Award in 2022. She served as Associate Program Director for the Fellowship Program, co-investigator for several food allergy clinical trials, mentor to learners from undergraduates to fellows, and physician builder within the electronic medical record system (Epic). Dr. Lee is married to her husband, Matt, and together they have two sons, Daniel and Michael. They live in Decatur, where their children attend the local public schools.
