“Yes I will go back. The staff was patient she checked other insurance I had and was pleasant about it. Office was extremely clean . I had very little wat time. I had the other tests done by another pleasant employee while I waited. Will definitely recommend this Dr.”

“The front seat staff was friendly and the Optometrist asst was excellent in giving advice on glasses! Dr Valerie was professional new her stuff, explained the different tests and I believe sent me for the right follow up for glaucoma. Overall much better than last doc! ”

About Dr. Valerie Danford
Dr. Valerie Danford was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from John Carroll University with a B.S. in Biology and a Master of Business Administration. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University. After graduating, she completed a residency in ocular disease at the Cleveland VA Medical Center, where she received extensive training in diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal pathology, specialty contact lens fittings and low vision.
Dr. Danford’s interest in optometry started when she received her first pair of glasses and contacts in 8th grade. The optometrist was always (and still is) her favorite doctor to see! She worked as an optician and optometric technician at a local optometry practice during graduate school. She is passionate about providing excellent eye care and educating her patients.
When Dr. Danford is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family (she has a baby girl who keeps her very busy!), running, baking and traveling. She recently relocated to New Jersey and she is thrilled to be joining Metuchen Vision!

Dr. Danford is the best! She is very professional and friendly. She listened what I want for contact lens very carefully and tried to meet all of my criteria. Also, she carefully examined my eye condition with a number of methods. I highly recommend her to everyone. She is the best doctor around!!

I think this is one of the best eye doctors I’ve ever been to! They were all so nice! And the appointment was SO thorough and relaxing. I learned some stuff about eyes and how they work during! It was just a really nice overall experience; I’ll definitely be back for my next annual check up!
