I am in-network with most health insurances. Have questions or want to get started? _________________________________________ I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with extensive experience providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. In addition to my private practice, I work as a psychiatric therapist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where I provide outpatient and intensive outpatient care. I specialize in helping patients manage mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety, as well as supporting individuals navigating life transitions, relational challenges, identity exploration, and stress management. My approach is evidence-based and tailored to each patient’s needs, blending cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and integrative methods such as Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) for bipolar disorder. As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I value cultural humility and strive to create a safe, affirming space for patients of diverse backgrounds. My goal is to help patients not only reduce symptoms, but also strengthen coping skills, build healthier routines, and develop resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am in-network with most health insurances. Have questions or want to get started? _________________________________________ My style is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I see therapy as a partnership where we identify your goals together and build on your strengths. Patients often describe me as warm, approachable, and focused on helping them make real, meaningful changes. I also like to think that I am funny and try to have a good time while we get to know each other. You can expect a safe space to talk openly about your struggles without judgment. I place a strong emphasis on understanding your unique story and tailoring interventions that fit your personality, values, and circumstances. Whether we are addressing mood changes, anxiety, relationship stress, or identity exploration, I will guide you with evidence-based tools while also respecting your pace and readiness for change. I welcome feedback and encourage open communication throughout the process — therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am in-network with most health insurances. Have questions or want to get started? _________________________________________ We begin with an initial intake session, where I’ll learn more about your history, current concerns, and therapy goals. This helps us create a clear plan for treatment and prioritize what matters most to you. In ongoing sessions, we balance structured skill-building with open conversation. Depending on your needs, this may include identifying thought and behavior patterns, learning coping strategies, practicing communication skills, or exploring deeper emotions and experiences. For patients with bipolar disorder or depression, I often incorporate psychoeducation and rhythm-based strategies to promote stability. For couples, I draw from the Gottman Method to improve communication, trust, and intimacy. Each session typically lasts 45–55 minutes and is conducted through secure telehealth. I encourage patients to view therapy as both a safe place for reflection and a space for active problem-solving. Over time, we measure progress together, celebrate gains, and adjust our approach as needed.
