Adrianna Crouch, LCPC

Psychotherapist
MD
As a practicing therapist and former therapy client, I understand how difficult it can be to move forward when you feel stuck or are struggling against what seems impossible to recover from or manage. I firmly believe that each of us has the ability to meet and even surpass our own expectations of what is possible to overcome, regardless of how dire the circumstances may seem. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you become a more confident expert. As a result, I work best with clients who are prepared to be active and committed to therapy in order to be more successful in their everyday lives. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, which informs my approach to therapy. I offer individual telehealth sessions for clients residing in Maryland and Florida, using cognitive behavioral therapies while integrating other approaches that promote your overall well-being and propel you forward toward your goals. I believe in being direct with my clients while also using humor to break the heaviness that often ensues in everyday life. I pride myself on the belief that therapy is not one-size-fits-all when working with adults in a virtual setting, which allows you to feel safe and supported in a familiar and convenient environment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help clients who are facing the complexities involved with treating depression and/or anxiety in combination with other factors, such as ADHD, PTSD, a mood disorder, or a personality disorder. Our first few sessions will be focused on collecting an in-depth history as well as understanding in detail what is occurring now in your life before moving into treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I'm a believer in using what we know works to solve problems. For many clients, this has been cognitive behavioral therapies, which focus on the interactions among our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Although the first appointments will be focused on collecting more information about you and your history, we will start delving into this relationship by building awareness and changing patterns.
