I am a clinical social worker with years of experience working with families, couples, children and adolescents to address issues related to parenting, partnerships, life stage changes and inter familial trauma.My approach to therapy is grounded in belief that empathy and openness lead to deep connections which is essential in therapeutic relationship. My training has focused on family dynamics. Often members of a family feel pigeonholed into fixed roles that can be frustrating and often lead to gradual erosion of their mutual affection. I’m specially trained to identify these patterns and to help families to modify them for the benefit of all the parties. Working on effective parenting or issues related to intimacy and trust in the couple is frequently at the core of some of this work. I work with my clients on uncovering the interactions that bring them pain, confusion, sadness and worry and together we identify different ways to communicate, respond, understand and sometimes just let it be.
