Psychotherapist
MD
Hello! I'm a licensed therapist passionate about helping you navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, self-esteem struggles, and those moments where you’re questioning who you are, what you want, or where you’re headed. I also specialize in helping clients explore deeper patterns, like generational trauma, cultural dynamics, and inherited beliefs, that often quietly shape how you show up in relationships, work, and life. My approach is holistic and grounded, meaning I look at the full picture: your mind, body, emotions, environment, relationships, and the bigger systems and experiences that have influenced your story. In session, I show up real, compassionate, and collaborative. This is a space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. Together, we’ll connect the dots, get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck, and build tools that actually fit your life. At the core of my work is helping you come back to yourself—whether that’s breaking cycles, setting boundaries, rebuilding self-trust, or choosing yourself in ways that feel aligned and sustainable.

Getting to know Alexis Bell

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to keep therapy real, grounded, and collaborative. This is your space, and we move at a pace that feels supportive, not overwhelming. Clients often describe my style as warm, honest, and direct when needed. I’m not a “just sit and nod” therapist. I’ll help you slow things down, reflect on patterns, and gently challenge the thoughts, behaviors, and cycles that are keeping you stuck. My approach is holistic, so we’re looking at more than just symptoms. We explore how your emotions, body, relationships, environment, and even generational and cultural influences are all connected to what you’re experiencing right now. I also focus a lot on practical tools, so while we do deeper emotional work, you’ll also leave sessions with something you can actually apply in your everyday life. Most importantly, I want you to feel safe being fully yourself here. No pressure to have the “right” words or the “perfect” story. Just come as you are, and we’ll build from there.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We usually start with an initial intake where I get to learn more about what’s bringing you in, your current stressors, your history, and what you’re hoping to change or understand more deeply. In that first session, we also go over expectations, boundaries, and any questions or hesitations you may have so you feel clear and comfortable moving forward. Sessions aren’t one-size-fits-all. Some days we slow things down and process what’s coming up emotionally, and other days we focus more on tools, boundaries, communication, or coping strategies you can use right away in your daily life. Overall, the process is about helping you feel more grounded in yourself, more aware of your patterns, and more equipped to make choices that actually align with who you are becoming.
