Alisa Barton, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
If you asked one of my clients to describe me, they, probably say I‚ am personable, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to (or so I've been told). I believe therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. My goal is to create a judgement-free-space where you feel heard, supported, and challenged when needed; helping you build confidence and make meaningful changes in your life. With over 12 years of clinical experience, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-confidence and self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, grief, addiction and recovery, and life transitions. As a Florida Qualified Supervisor, I've worked across a variety of treatment settings, giving me a broad perspective on supporting people through both everyday struggles, and more complex mental health concerns. I also enjoy working with clients who simply feel stuck; whether you‚ are lacking motivation, questioning your direction, or simply know life could feel more fulfilling than it does right now. Together, we‚ Ill identify what‚ as holding you back and create practical strategies to help you move forward with confidence. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and authentic. During our initial intake appointment, I'll ask an array of questions to get an understanding of who you are, what experiences you have endured, and what your goals for therapy look like. Together, we will openly discuss and develop a plan to tackle short-term goals that support your long-term desired outcome. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to make the process as comfortable and approachable as possible. We'll even use a little humor along the way when it helps us get through the harder conversations.
