Getting to know Alisha Espinal

Meet Alisha: Your Partner in Figuring Things Out Hi there! I'm Alisha, a bilingual (English & Spanish) therapist and a proud first-generation Latina navigating the wild, beautiful ride of life just like you. I get it, life can feel like an endless maze of questions. Who am I? Why does my family push that button? Why do societal expectations feel like an ever-tightening sweater? And, most importantly, how do I start choosing me? I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling from Alliance University, which has equipped me to support individuals and families through life's complexities. My passion is helping people untangle those questions in a way that feels human, relatable, and real. Whether you're in the thick of family dynamics, sorting through past trauma, or just trying to figure out your next step, my goal is to offer you a safe space to be seen, heard, and supported. Together, we'll explore what's been holding you back, help you navigate life's curveballs, and build tools that empower you to show up as your most authentic self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy that honors the full picture of who you are. This includes your personal identity, relationship dynamics, and the cultural and generational influences that shape how you show up in the world, and in your relationships. Therapy with me is a space to be honest and real. Sometimes that looks like sitting with silence or grief, other times it’s reconnecting through laughter or simply learning new ways to talk to one another. My approach is warm, grounded, collaborative, and always centered on creating a space that feels safe and supportive for everyone in the room. Together, we’ll untangle what’s been weighing you down, recognize the patterns at play, and build tools to help you move forward in ways that feel aligned, empowering, and real.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Whether we’re working one-on-one, as a couple, or as a family, our sessions will be tailored to your specific needs and goals. Together, we’ll uncover what’s no longer working and begin to create new, more fulfilling ways of relating with yourself and with each other.

Alisha is an incredible therapist. She saved us- my marriage and my family- and guided us through one of the darkest seasons of our lives and helped us find light and joy and again. Truly. She met us where we were at every session, gave us practical skills to cope and taught us so much about nervous system regulation. We worked with her for over a year and I am just so beyond grateful for the blessing she was to us!! She is the best. Book her today. It will be the best decision you make this decade.
First and foremost, I felt extremely comfortable being transparent and honest with Alisha, all listening ears from start to finish. It felt good being able to express myself, I look forward to many more sessions and look forward to learning more, seeing more and applying myself in the best way possible.
