Getting to know Allison Stuart

I am originally from Miami, Florida and have lived in Florida for most of my life. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University and my Master of Social Work degree from Barry University. I am client centered in my approach to working with the individuals that I serve and always encourage my clients to express their true thoughts and feelings during our sessions in order to achieve the best outcome as possible as we collaborate together on the objectives of their treatment plan. I have been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years and have worked in many settings, including nursing homes, prison, and virtual based work. I have extensive experience with and specialize for individuals that are seniors, 50 and above. We all have transitions, throughout our lives, and I am there to assist you so that you can learn what may have held you back and to forage ahead with improved confidence and enthusiasm. My main specialties are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Grief/Loss Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, and Solution Based Therapy. Common issues that I can assist with include Depression, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, and Narcissistic Abuse, and Personality Disorders. I am currently providing services using the virtual platform. I look forward to working with any adult individual that is ready to work on their issues with a therapist that is highly motivated to make that journey as pleasant and rewarding as possible.
