What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to leave our work together with a genuine sense of relief - from the symptoms, challenges, and past experiences that may have been weighing on them, sometimes for a very long time. But beyond that immediate relief, my hope is that every client also walks away with something deeper - a clearer understanding of who they are, what they need, and how they connect with the people in their lives. Ultimately, I want clients to leave therapy not just feeling better, but feeling more equipped and more themselves. I approach therapy with deep personal investment in each of my client’s journey, emphasizing holistic well-being and meeting people exactly where they are. Whether working with individuals or couples, I bring the same warmth, curiosity, and commitment to helping people find clarity, healing, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. In our first few sessions, I focus on getting to know you—what is bringing you in, the stressors or patterns you may be experiencing, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we identify clear goals and create a plan that feels both meaningful and practical. For teens and young adults, therapy often focuses on navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem, performance pressures, identity development, relationships, and life transitions. I work to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. For couples and families, I help clients strengthen communication, better understand recurring patterns in their relationships, and work through conflict, trust concerns, and life transitions in a way that fosters deeper connection and understanding. I also enjoy working with athletes and high-performing individuals who may be facing performance-related stress, identity concerns, injury recovery, or burnout. Our work may focus on managing pressure, building resilience, improving confidence, and supporting emotional well-being and performance goals. My style is warm, relational, and goal-oriented, and I also strive to be direct in a thoughtful and supportive way. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel both understood and gently challenged. At times, this means I may offer honest feedback, help identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work with you to make meaningful changes. I draw from evidence-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)-informed work, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, and mindfulness-based techniques. I believe meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, increased self-awareness, and practical strategies that can be applied in daily life.
