Amanda has extensive experience working on an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit, where she supported adolescents and adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. She specializes in treating anxiety and depression using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Her approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can develop effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier thought patterns. She works collaboratively with clients to help them feel empowered, understood, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am grateful for the opportunity to learn about each of my clients' individual experiences. I respect that each client will share as much as they are comfortable initially. I believe the key to a client's success begins with building rapport and trust between us.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You can expect a thorough Biopsychosocial Assessment on our first visit, along with building rapport between us. We will evaluate and identify treatment goals together. We will also discuss the best evidenced-based treatment modality to use in helping you to reach your goals.
