Amy is a behavioral health professional, clinician, entrepreneur, and CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the long-term care and healthcare industry. While serving as CEO of the mental health company PsychOptions Affiliates for ten years, she recognized the flaws in the mental health system-fast sessions and non-personalized care.
Disillusioned by this broken system, she made it her mission to deliver real impact by providing the necessary connection and healthcare that was missing in the field. To do so, she left behind the lucrative business side of the industry, rolled up her sleeves, and began seeing patients directly. She knew this was the only way to give back, make a difference, and meet the changing needs of patients.
From 2006 to 2018, Amy ran Salus Behavioral Health, a psychotherapy and mental health consulting practice she founded. Focused on bridging gaps in the industry, the practice emphasized client-centered, personalized care by offering behavioral management assistance and educational programs to long-term care and skilled nursing facility residents, their family members, and staff.
Amy earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Psychology from Barry University. Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in startups, management, research, recruiting, customer service, and strategic planning.
