Getting to know Angel Kennedy

Life can be challenging and overwhelming. In session, I offer an open and safe environment for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and barriers to being your best self. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is very important, so we can explore what unique coping tools would help you respond more effectively to stress, anxiety, and depression. It is my goal to offer an environment in which you feel safe to show up as your authentic self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a compassionate therapist, I offer space for you to be yourself. I listen, validate, challenge when need be and allow you to be who you are without judgment. Various techniques I use include mindfulness, breathing, insight oriented therapy and CBT. Every person has a different preference for coping tools and it is helpful to see what fits.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be an intake, where I learn more about you and the specific issues that are causing distress. We then will craft a individual care plan personalized for you with your goals. After our sessions will be around current or past concerns and how best to manage or resolve them.
