Psychotherapist
CO
Greetings, I'm Angela, a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addiction Counselor with a Master's from the University of Denver. My personal journey into addiction and mental health ignites my passion to help others heal. My specialty in geriatric mental health was honed through a Fellowship with the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program during my graduate studies. This competitive program educated a select group on the unique mental health needs of older adults. This experience affirmed my belief in the dignity of all life stages. I've garnered diverse experience, working in detox programs, inpatient treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, and group practices. A significant part of my journey includes serving Veterans at the VA hospital, dealing with chronic illness and palliative care. Being a Veteran, this work holds personal significance for me, heightening my commitment to deliver empathetic and respectful services. Addiction recovery is an area where I'm deeply involved, understanding the daunting struggle with substances or unwanted behaviors. My job is to help you wade through these challenges without bias. I am also a coach in the Sinclair Method (TSM), a proven approach to alcohol misuse. In addition to addiction recovery, women's wellness is an area I deeply resonate with. I extend support to women dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions, as well as perimenopause and menopause. In my leisure time, I am an outdoor enthusiast, engaging in hikes, skiing, rockhounding, or Jeep adventures. Pottery, reading, and time with my family and dogs are some of my other pursuits. My faith in Christ is central to my practice, shaping how I approach therapy – with compassion, humility, and deep respect for your unique narrative. Regardless of your position in your journey, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where healing can flourish.
